SAN FRANCISCO, May 17, 2012 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Nexant, Inc. announced today that Dr. Ajit Kulkarni has joined its Grid Management business unit in the company's Sacramento, California office. He previously held senior positions at Navigant, R.W. Beck, and Ventyx. At Nexant, he will assume responsibility for leading electric power project feasibility and system improvement studies.
For over 25 years, Dr. Kulkarni has focused on solving many of the energy industry's unique issues involving nodal/LMP analysis, congestion/curtailment, unit commitment and dispatch, production costing, optimal power flow, power flow, interconnections, NERC compliance, integrated resource planning, financial transmission rights and congestion revenue rights analysis, screening and feasibility studies, and system impacts. He has an extensive background in power systems analysis, generation and transmission studies, modeling, simulations, algorithms, and software development.
